Harvest Time!!!

This year we have decided to make a small amount of Sparkling wine (Champagne) out of our Stowe Vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This means we need to harvest a little earlier than we would for a normal still wine. After checking the Brix, a measure of sugar, and the pH yesterday, we have determined that the Chardonnay is ready for picking. We will begin on Monday so stay tuned for a full report.
