Yesterday we harvested, destemmed/pressed off 15 TONS of Pinot Noir grapes! That could be a record for us in a day. The infamous IC-dub grape boxes Gorsky and Miles slaving away……..Mike at the press:Kuna Butte Vineyards Pinot NoirOoooh, pretty and tasty too! This is the must (juice) coming from the pan underneath the press which we’ll
not ONLY do we do CUSTOM LABELLED WINE……….but as you can see we do custom printed glasses too! Super for weddings, parties and such…OR……have you thought about what you’re giving as Christmas gifts yet?!? 😀 Everyone likes glasses…and wine, if they don’t well, more for us. Nope, we didn’t have any frost last nite…in fact tomorrow the high is supposed to be back up to 71º! We suffered a long, cold weekend: 10.09 – 10.12 and as you can see in the photos, our vineyard fan and smudge pots did not make the cut. But we tried. Luckily, despite our Cab
It’s 4:30 a.m. Â and the thermometer outside reads 26 degrees F. I just got back from outside refilling the gas tank on our vineyard fan and making sure our smudge piles were still burning. I suppose this is probably the last day of the growing season but we will have to wait and see how

Okay, we have officially seen some bird damage in the vineyard. What is strange this year is that there’s quite a diversity of these critters…usually mostly starlings and blackbirds but we’ve seen some doves in the mix too (and I love doves…they don’t eat the grapes and make beautiful songs). We have a hawk in
Here are a few photos from last nights Idaho Wine Festival put on by the TVWS. The judging went great! We took home medals on every wine we entered including a silver for the 2006 Syrah and a gold for the 2006 Chard. For a complete list of the medal winners click here. ??? and
Veraison, in viticulture, is the change from berry growth to berry ripening. We can see this in the grapes because the colors begin to change (green to red), acidity decreases, sugar increases, and ripe flavors begin to develop. Veraison has officially begun here at the Stowe Vineyard at Indian Creek Winery and this means that
